2019 WASFAA Leadership and Development Program

WASFAA’s Professional Development Committee is seeking nominations for aspiring leaders within the financial aid profession to participate in the 2019 WASFAA Leadership and Development Program. 

The “Unlock YOUR Potential” WASFAA Leadership Retreat will be held May 29-31, 2019 in Madison at the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace. There is no cost to participate, you just have to get there! WASFAA will cover room, board, materials and give you a great learning opportunity!

The retreat develops leadership skills through practical and scholarly principles, techniques, and strategies that increases the opportunity for advancement personally and professionally.  Attendees will participate in an exciting leadership project that incorporates leadership material, networking, and sharing of practices at the 2019 Fall WASFAA Conference wrap-up session. You will be connected with a professional mentor to help assist you in reaching your full potential as a leader.

As a bonus this year, leadership retreat attendees will get the opportunity to connect with WASFAA’s Executive Committee and understand the inner-workings of how a non-profit organization works.  Through shared discussions, you’ll build valuable relationships and have the chance to get first-hand experience from veterans within the higher education field.  Over the years, the retreat has provided substantial rewards both personally and professionally to past attendees.
